Additions/Updates & Enhancements to the website as a result of the 60th Reunion
activities. Updated In_Memoriam,
In_Memorial Classmate Listing, Email ID Directory, and Lost Contact List to reflect our loss of classmates
ascertained as result of sending out Reunion Announcement / Questionnaire and
follow-up. Additions include the 60th Reunion itself with a page about the
Reunion itself and the follow-on eBooklet containing the reporting of the
Reunion and Responses received on the returned Questionnaires and finally feeder
school pictures contained in the eBooklet.
Enhancement included using
a new background color that more nearly matches the official school color
maroon. Updated the Other Sites of Interest page to update linkages where
required and updated the Secretary name to Deborah Brechtel who is also the
Editor of the MHS Alumni Newsletter.

6/12/2002 - "In Memoriam" revised - Jerry Virgil passed away Feb. 8, 2002 in Rochester, Minn. Jerry's name had been posted in our "Lost Contact" listing, which has also been updated. Further, Email Directory was updated to reflect email address changes reported since last update. Additionally, the Directory was updated to add additional classmates' addresses ( Ellen Rogers and Robert Shultz )that were located via www.classmates.com.
6/11/2002 - Redesign of the website has been completed and is based upon knowledge acquired from a course in Web Design that I completed in Dec., 2001 at Ivy Tech State College (via Internet). Pictures from the 45th reunion and their web content have been removed from Homestead.com (cost avoidance of $9.95/month to me - since Homestead.com opted to start charging for their services since fall, 2001). Pictures and page content are now implemented on the Michiana Free-Net server that has hosted the primary MHS'55 website since its creation. Thanks again to Michiana Free-Net for their fine community service to facilitate this alumni website at no cost.
12/20/01 - Good News - Joe Holland has reported to us that all reports of his demise are untrue. Joe made an entry in our Guest Book on 12/14/01 and via emails between Joe and myself, we've established communication. Joe has quite a story to tell about the various stories of his demise occurred. Nice changes to the website include "Email / Web Site Directory", "In Memoriam" and "Deceased Classmates". So classmates, check our email directory and send Joe some email. It's great to hear from Joe. He also tells me that he's added a bio in www.Classmates.com, so check it out also.

10/05/01 - "In Memoriam" revised - Juliann (Gersey) Cichos passed away on October 4, 2001. Revised "Lost Contact" listing as Sue (Ankney) Schlarb has been located. Corrected our database for an error we've had for sometime ... Ellen (Rogers) Minichino had been mistakenly reported as Ellen (Rodgers) Thorp in our "Lost Contact" listing. This error was pointed out by Tom Farkas (thank you) and resolved via the MHS Alumni Directory 2000. Reduces our Lost Contact Listing to thirteen (13) classmates.
8/24/01 - "In Memoriam" revised - Sharon (Stoddard) Johnson passed away on August 21, 2001. Also revised "Lost Contact" listing as Sharon had been one classmate that we'd lost contact with over the past years.

we've made email contact with Karin (Warner) Harris. Her Email address has
been added. So classmates, send her some email.
Also, the Guest Book has been replaced. Effective March 31, 2001,
MyComputer.com no longer provided "free" Guest Book services.
However, TheGuestBook.com does provide "free" services, so we are
taking advantage of their services. I have taken the liberty to transfer
the entries from the previous Guest Book into the new Guest Book, but
unfortunately, all the older messages will have April 2, 2001 dates as that is
the day I loaded the new book. Any new messages will contain the date the
message is entered.
Please feel free to make new entries.

3/05/01 - "In Memoriam" revised - Nancy (Sheffield) Hahn sent an email on March 2, 2001 with obituary of our classmate Lee Hahn. Lee passed away very unexpectedly on January 17, 1998. Further this section was expanded to include the complete listing of all our deceased classmates (similar) to the In Memoriam page in our 45th Reunion booklet. This listing is current. Also the website was reorganized to move some sections from the main page to separate pages. Finally, a new link was added to the "Other MHS Class Sites" to include MHS '61 that just went online, check it out.

"In Memoriam" revised - Jackie (Campbell) Jackson emailed to advise that husband Fred passed away Nov. 24, 2000.

Thank you for the effort of Jimmie and Peggy (Sult) Gatlin; they researched the recently published "Mishawaka High School Alumni Directory 2000" and found the addresses for thirteen (13) classmates listed. The following classmates' addresses are now known: James Allison, William Davis, Robert Denny, Walter Dujardin, Mildred Gentry, Robert Graves, Barbara Koontz, Barbara (Kronwitter) Turley, Joyce (Martsolf) Hartz, Lovell Martz, Henry (Skip) Norlin, Sharon Stickler, and Sharon (White) Morgan. "Email / Web Site Directory also updated to include Skip Norlin's Email ID.

11/07/00 - "Lost Contact" listing updated. Via discussion @ the Reunion between Tom Farkas and Linda (Searer) Cottrell, and subsequent follow-up - they've obtained the address for Robert B. Miller. The MHS '55 database has been updated and his name has been removed from the "Unknown Whereabouts List". Thanks to Tom and Linda.

9/19/00 - The 45th Reunion Speech, authored by Mary K. (Smith) Kase, that all Reunion attendees heard and appreciated is provided for all classmates' reading enjoyment. During the Reunion, several classmates asked that the speech be made available on the web site for classmates who could not attend and also for their kids to read and enjoy. 9/11/00 - Revised 55 Email Directory for John Friedman's current email ID and correction to Mary Ann (Grittani) Manion ID. Updated all four (4) reunion picture pages to include some caption names. More updates for names will be forthcoming. Incorporated my Email icon on each of the picture web pages per suggestion from John Manion (thanks John) so as the pictures are viewed, classmates can send an email to me with more names. Finally - catch the new cursor!
9/05/00 - Completed the addition of new web pages with pictures taken at the Reunion. First page was loaded 9/3/00 and has had lots of hits in the first few days. Suggestion has been made to include names. That will require more work and help from classmates to complete this suggestion. I have complied with this suggestion on Page 1. Total of four (4) pages.
